Story: My piece represents the Heal Country theme for NAIDOC 2021. The centre shows our country and the importance of the aboriginal people in the healing of our land. The knowledge and cultural practices are represented in the journey lines and how these practices are the key to the way in which healing can take place. Each colour represents an important element of the land – water, earth, sun & spirituality. The elements of the earth depict their importance to preservation. The dots show the coming together of all people to acknowledge our history and how the custodians of our land are the key to healing both land and lives of our people.

We no longer have a retail store, all of our products are available online.

Returns/Exchanges - Items purchased can be returned for a new size or if goods are faulty, however they must be returned within 14 days upon receipt of goods and must be unworn, in original condition with tags still on. Unfortunately, we cannot accept worn items. Please send us an email at sales@dezignaimpression.com.au before sending your product back.

Story: For me personally Get up, Stand up and Show up starts with us as individuals first. I have shown in the elements of my artwork this process, the importance of restoring the connection with family (through our traditional practices – fire & dance), connection to country (spending time on country – the leaves and nature elements of my artwork). I was on country when I did this piece and my natural bush surrounds played a big part of my inspiration. The peace I feel on country for me is the best foundation to start getting up, standing up and showing up for myself first. Our elders holding spears shows our connection to our history and honours their work fighting for our way of life.

Lastly the whole piece altogether including the colours, represents how Getting up, Standing up and Showing up will ensure we have a promising and bright future!

If we can Get Up, Stand Up and Show up for ourselves we can then show up for our Family, Community and Country.

When all these elements work together the result is beautiful. We set the example for our future generations and empower them to do the same!
